Our Projects
At Pioneer Carbon, we operate in both the compliance and voluntary carbon markets.
In the compliance market, we are developing emissions reductions projects under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
In the voluntary market, we fund projects that cannot currently benefit from CDM finance due to their geographic location, size, methodologies or the timing of the emissions reductions.
In both markets, we have a clear remit to develop high quality emissions reductions and in recognition of this we are currently developing a number of projects under the Gold Standard.
